Discussion Questions:

  • Are you a valentine's grinch? What way can you practice love without the commercial influence?

  • Why do you think John's writings have such an emphasis on Love?

  • How does grounding God's love in His character help us understand His Justice?

  • How does agape love help us discern who is genuine and who is false?

Application

Read the parable of the unforgiving debtor in Matthew 18:21-35 in your group. Discuss how God's agape love should affect our interactions with others. Pray about an area of your life where God is calling you to walk in the balance of His Love and Justice.
