Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It’s a public declaration that you have decided to follow Jesus and belong to Him.

  • 1. Jesus Commanded It

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
    (Matthew 28:19–20, ESV)

    2. Baptism Pictures the Gospel
Baptism is a beautiful picture of the gospel: dying to our old life and being raised to new life in Christ.

Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
    (Romans 6:3–4, ESV)

  • Baptism is for anyone who has put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In the Bible, baptism always follows a personal decision to trust and follow Jesus.

If you’ve committed your life to Him but haven’t yet been baptized, we encourage you to take this next step in your faith journey.

  • You should be re-baptized only if you were baptized before coming to genuine faith. If you are returning to the Lord after falling away, re-baptism isn’t necessary—simply repent and confess, trusting God’s promise: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9, ESV)
