Mexico Mission Recap

Ten faithful members from Calvary Petaluma traveled to Vincente Guerrero, Mexico, to join in God’s work. With funds lovingly raised by our church, we built a brand-new home for Gudelia, a single mom raising three precious children. This home is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a tangible expression of God’s care and provision.

BUILDING HOPE FOR GUDELIA

PARTNERING WITH YWAM

We stayed at the YWAM Base, where our wonderful host, Barry from YWAM Chico, went above and beyond to gather every supply we needed—from construction materials to furniture—ensuring Gudelia’s new home was fully furnished and ready for her family. Of course there were plenty of Tacos too!

SERVING WITH A RECOVERY MINISTRY

Our team partnered with a recovery ministry only three months old to serve dinner to 50 men and women. Alongside the meal, we shared the hope of Christ during a heartfelt church service.

We visited and prayed for a ministry that has been rescuing children, reaching the lost, and restoring the broken for 55 years! From this single location, many lifechanging ministries have been launched, including:

A LEGACY OF RESCUE AND RESTORATION

Daycare Program

  • We Served breakfast to 60 children and a few moms who participate in this program while most parents work during the daylight hours.

Women’s Shelter

  • Met Esther, the dedicated director of a shelter for abused and trafficked women.

  • Learned how the shelter provides vocational training and job skills through a local restaurant, café, and classes in sewing, baking, Salon, and horticulture.

  • Enjoyed a dinner prepared by the women and received a tour of the facility to see God’s transformative work in action.

From building homes to feeding children, from sharing meals to lifting up ministries in prayer, this trip was a living testimony of God’s heart for His people. Thank you, Calvary family, for your prayers, generosity, and partnership in spreading His love to the ends of the earth!
